The COMCOS system performs control function, command function and supply of disconnector in charge at 3 kVcc, they are put away to the station.
This application replaces cable for every disconnector with a communication system. The system provides also to supply it is taken with line at 3kVdc. In other system provides to control command circuit (open/closed) and local control for disconnector at 3k Vdc and its switch machine
This communication can take place using radiofrequency (until 3 Km) either/or optical fiber.
The COMCOS system managed both modes of communication, both redundancy that in alternatively way.
COMCOS system is rung between control station panel and switching boxes, it does have the same operation compared to the current system, but it has a wireless system or optical fibers in replacement of cables.
The energy required to operate with disconnector is converter by the line at 3kVdc; a charge reserve allow to keep active the system also with no voltage in line, for 6 hours and for 10 maneuvers of disconnector
For horn disconnector at 3kVdc, in existent installation, it was expected a control and command panel realized by RE/ST.TE/1/97.605 Edition 1997. Control panel is connected on one side at DOTE and on other side at horn disconnector.

- Pulse test voltage: 125 kV – 1.2 \ 50 µsec;
- Output voltage: 132 Vdc ± 10%.
Switch machine interface
- Supply voltage: 132 Vdc;
- Insulation: 2.5 kV per 1′ a 50 Hz.
